Lavender, Otto Quast
- This aromatic, silvery-gray variety of Spanish lavender is sometimes referred to as ‘rabbit ears’. The colorful "ears" are actually sterile petals. The Spanish lavender is the best variety that thrives in hot summers and is one of the most reliable bloomers in the Lavandula family, the plum-purple blooms appearing in mid spring and blooming through early summer. Makes a wonderful potted plant, place where you will enjoy the fragrance. Deer hate it!
- Plant this lavender in full sun to part shade with a well-drained, loam mix.
- Forms a compact, dense shrub to about 2ft x 3ft. Evergreen.
Arrived nicely packed however bone dry. Both plants wilted from lack of water, one more so. I am hoping they bounce back.
