Blue Hyssop (Hyssopus officinalis)
- Honeybees and pollinators love this plant! We've noticed here at the nursery that the bees literally climb over each other to get to the sweet nectar of this perennial. Blue tubular blooms, occasionally pink or white, on bottle brush shaped flower heads from May thru summer. Hyssop honey is derived from this long blooming perennial. A beautiful perennial that deserves a place in every garden. Deer leave it alone! Excellent drought tolerant once established. An excellent perennial to plant near the vegetable garden as a way to draw pollinators.
- Plant in full sun and well-draining soil. Dormant in winter.
- Growth: Grows to 2 ft high and wide.
